Food & Drink

Breakfast, Sunday Brunch, Family Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Sunday Dinner, Late Supper and Snacks in between – On the Rocks, Freshly Squeezed, Pulled, Poured, Shaken but not Stirred.  Some of the highlights of your trip will be the food and drink enjoyed - all the more so because it is sourced and produced in a responsible way.

All of our listed Cafes, Restaurants, Farmers Markets, Bars and Pubs actively implement environmental policies that include good practice to minimise food waste and very importantly source local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients. Some go a step further and work with local groups and schools to encourage healthy eating and teach cooking skills.

Choosing green tastes so good! Wherever you go ask whoever is serving you food - where does it come from? In Ireland this is known as the "Just Ask" practice promoted by Bord Bia (Irish Food Board) to encourage customers to find out the provenance of the foods they eat and to encourage restaurants, etc, to use Irish provenance food and beverages.

Few hotels in the world can get you quite so ‘up close’ to the action. Whether it’s All Ireland Final Day or some of the world’s greatest entertainers coming to town, The Croke Park Hotel gives you a ringside view of the buildup that’s impossible to beat.

But it’s not just about physical proximity to Ireland’s “Field of Dreams”. Guests also enjoy the fact that we really do understand why they’re visiting. If it’s for a sporting or entertainment event, the team share in the sense of excitement, and a friendly, upbeat mood is part of the backdrop to the occasion.

And if guests are staying for business – perhaps using the magnificent conference facilities of Croke Park – they’ll enjoy a superb level of quiet, unfussy efficiency. Many of our business guests stay for three or four nights per week and have established a relationship with the Croke Park Hotel team which is almost family-like.

Apart from being at the heart of the action in terms of sport, concerts and business, The Croke Park Hotel also gives you easy access to the airport and all the broader tourist and cultural attractions of a capital city which is comparatively small by European standards.

Nothing is very far away, whether it’s the chic shopping quarters of the city centre or attractions such as Trinity College, Christ Church Cathedral and the world-famous Guinness Storehouse. Or perhaps you’d like to visit some of Dublin’s countless literary pubs where you can hear the echoes of James Joyce, Patrick Kavanagh, Brendan Behan and many more.

At The Doyle Collection, a strict environmental policy is in place as part of our Group’s contribution to protecting the environment. We separate and recycle newspapers, office papers, organic waste, cardboard, glass, batteries, fluorescent and long-life light bulbs and have an ongoing goal to divert the majority of our waste from landfill.

We use only the most environmentally acceptable cleaning products, from which phosphates have been eliminated and packaging is minimized. We are actively pursuing the reduction of water usage in our bedrooms and washrooms. We are working with suppliers who have good environmental policies to reduce packaging waste and improve the environmental impact of all products purchased.
