Our Green Team have worked with us to implement normal every day environmentally friendly actions into systems which enable us to keep on track year after year. We use our systems to train new staff and also to educate our guests about our Environmental Policy & targets Some of our every day actions include;
Implementing a recycling system throughout the business, offering a battery recycling service to our guests, sourcing food from local suppliers, turning off appliances and taps when not in use, operating a linen and towel reuse programme in bedrooms, using timers and sensors for lighting.
Other actions implemented her at The Moorings which have required more thought include;
Installing low flow shower heads and sink aerators,
Implementing a rain water collection system for use in laundry and public toilets, switching to LED light bulbs in most of the building and involving ourselves with Community Projects and Initiatives.
